A YOUNG woman was left bruised and battered after a harrowing roadside attack by two teenage girls.
The woman, 26, was set on by the young thugs as she drove her car through Gravesend.
During the attack, one girl grabbed the driver through the car window and smashed her head against the door.
The incident happened as she was driving along Old Road East from Lion Roundabout. The girls walked in front of her silver Renault Clio, forcing her to brake.
When she sounded her horn, the teenagers started screaming obscenities. One kicking the car while the other went to the driver's window.
After the assault, the girls ran off up the road and the woman decided to give chase. She turned round and drove back towards the roundabout, when one of the girls lunged at the car and lobbed a hammer at it. The total damage is estimated at £1,500.
The driver, who lives in Gravesend, was badly shaken after the incident on November 5 at about 8.15pm.
The attackers are white, aged 15 or 16. One is 5ft4in tall, with shoulder-length blonde hair, wearing a dark tracksuit top, with white bottoms and trainers. The second girl is 5ft7in, with dark brown hair, wearing a dark tracksuit with white trainers.
