East Dulwich athlete Alastair Robertson rowed to third place at the largest indoor rowing championship to have been held in this country.
The 35-year-old won bronze in the mens 35 to 39 heavyweight category at the PPP healthcare British Indoor Rowing Championship which was held for the first time at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena.
Attracting more than 3,000 competitors, the event had the largest number of entries in its 11 year history.
In front of around 5,000 spectators, Robertson raced 2,000 metres in a time of six minutes 16.4 seconds.
The entry for the event include the whole of Britains world class rowing team including Olympic gold medallists Matthew Pinsent and James Cracknell.
