Surrey Sinfonietta's annual Family Christmas Spectacular this year is on Sunday, December 2, at the Ashcroft theatre, Croydon.
The concert will be conducted and compered by Jonathan Butcher, and will include music from the movies including James Bond and Disney, favourites by Tchaikovsky and Vivaldi and music from John Rutter featuring choirs from local schools.
The audience can also participate in a number of fun quizzes. Surrey Sinfonietta was formed in 1990 and almost immediately became a major force in the local orchestral scene, attracting celebrated pianist Peter Katin to be its president.
The orchestra was formed with the aim of bringing classical music to a wider audience and making concerts more accessible to the general public.
The orchestra has played in many Surrey locations and London and has a loyal following of supporters.
Tickets for The Family Christmas Spectacular are £7 from the Fairfield box office on 020 8688 9291.
