East meets West on stage at Fairfield on Thursday, November 15, at 8pm.
Three famous bands, plus international dancers and guest soloists, will share the spotlight in a unique musical spectacular.
The Central Band of the White Russian Army (formerly the Red Army Band) will join with the internationally renowned Central Band of the RAF and the NATO All Stars Big Band for this night of stirring entertainment.
This is the only event where all three bands share the same stage.
Performing with the bands will be singers from the Bolshoi Operea and Dancers from the Belarussian National Folk Dance Academy.
The organisers hope that this special concert will forge new links and re-establish existing friendships between Russia, the NATO countries and the UK.
The White Russian Band successfully combine traditional Russian folk music with a wide range of modern, big band favourites.
The RAF Band are one of the UK's finest military bands and they have performed all over the globe.
The NATO All Stars represent the Supreme Headquarters of the Allied Powers Europe and their members are made up of musicians from Germany, Italy, Norway and the US.
Concert producer. Norman Rogerson MBE said: " We have managed to secure three world class bands for this very special concert which will help foster international relations using the global language of music."
The concert will culminate in a
performance of Tchaikowsky's 1812 Overture.
Tickets are available, priced between £9.50 and £13.50, 020 8688 9291.
