MORE than 1,062 truckloads of garden waste has been recycled by Bromley residents in the last year.
Bromley Council sold 650 compost bins to households throughout the borough, which could make about 17,000 tonnes of compost.
Composting garden waste prevents the water pollution and ozone-destroying methane gas which can be caused by dumping it in landfill. It also provides a free soil improver.
