Guru Nanak Sunday, of the North Kent Sunday Premier League, made easy work of their 2nd Round Reporter Cup tie against second-placed fourth division side Manor Wood, even though they decided to rest most of their regular XI.
The game was effectively over as a contest within 20 minutes, as the Gurus raced into a three-goal lead. In the end they ran out 6-1 winners, and only some poor finishing by the over-eager Guru forwards prevented them from reacing double figures.
Singh hit a hat-trick, while Perminder Bains, Jag Tirwana and an own goal were the goalscorers.
This week, the Gurus travel to Charlton Rangers for a tricky-looking third round Kent Cup tie.
All the Gurus' Saturday fixtures were called off due to waterlogged pitches.
This Saturday, Guru Nanak entertain top-of-the-table Sam- uel Montagu. Kick off is 2pm at the Barracks.
Elsewhere, Nanak's under-12s lost 4-1 to local rivals Real Gima, when Kieron Gill was the lone scorer. while the under-16s lost 3-0 to Real 60.
