ANTHRAX hoaxers have struck twice in Greenwich since the terrorist atrocities of September 11.
One package was received at an anonymous public building and another was discovered by post office workers on its way to a business in Greenwich.
Both contained a threatening note and white powder but were proved to be hoaxes.
Hoaxers can be charged with wasting police time or causing a public nuisance but this will change under the Government's Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Bill, due to be passed this month.
The bill will give the police a framework to deal with these crimes, with a maximum penalty of seven years' imprisonment.
