YOUNGSTERS at a Bexleyheath nursery school celebrated after raising more than £1,000 for a six-year-old girl crippled by meningitis.
The Crook Log Nursery children took part in sponsored events including puzzle-solving. They gave the money to Julie Tighe, mother of north London girl Geri-Ray Pearce, who needs prosthetic legs after suffering the illness.
Teacher Sally O'Callaghan said: "I think it's great the children put in so much effort and raised so much money."
