PUDDING WALKS!: No, your eyes were not deceiving you: Chrissie the Christmas Pudding was roaming Dartford's High Street to spread a little seasonal cheer. Between 10.30 until 3pm last Saturday, the giant pud met as many people as possible to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
COMPUTER UPGRADE: Bookworms in Swanley will have to postpone their library visits next week as it will be closed from December 10 to 13 so four new computers can be installed. The new technology will bring microsoft office facilities, internet access, CD-ROMS and scanning equipment to library users from December 14.
IT COURSES: Free computer taster sessions are on offer this month. The Get Ready for IT courses at Swanley's Adult Education Centre on December 18 and 19 will include computer terminology, word processing and the internet. The two courses run from 10am to 1pm.
