SIKHS in Bexley celebrated the birthday of the founder of their religion with a parade through Erith and Belvedere.
The parade began from the Guru Nanak Durbar Sikh Temple, in Mitchell Close, Belvedere, and featured colourful floats, flags and balloons.
Temple members worked with an artist to produce special banners for the occasion, which were carried through the streets.
Hundreds of Sikhs turned out to take part in the celebrations and to throw sweets to children along the route of the parade.
Afterwards, there was a traditional celebration meal at the temple.
