Croydon social services are appealing to people in the borough interested in playing an active role in the challenging but rewarding work of helping to care for children with disabilities, to come to a special information day to find out more about how they can get involved.
The council's children's disabilities service together with the adoption and fostering service will be holding an information session at the Town Hall in Katharine Street on Saturday December 8, from 10am.
Councillor Paula Shaw, cabinet member for social services, said: "Disabled children and young people are individuals who need variety and fun as well as care.
"We'd like to hear from people from all social, cultural and religious backgrounds with lots of enthusiasm and energy and some time to spare."
