POLE DAY: The National Maritime Museum will be hosting a day of Norwegian festivities to mark the 90th anniversary of Roald Amundsen reaching the South Pole. Taking place on December 15, events include performances of Norwegian music and by youngsters from the Wimbledon Norwegian school.
ART ON SHOW: The Honor Oak Gallery launched its Christmas exhibition on November 27. It will feature prints, watercolours and drawings by artists including Susan Jameson, Richard Bawden, June Berry and Ashley Cook. The gallery is based at 52 Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill.
FOOTIE FUN: A special fun football course for youngsters will be kicking off in Greenwich next Monday (December 3). The three week course will be running weekdays at Coldharbour, Meadowside, Plumstead, and Waterfront leisure centres until December 21. The cost is £11.40. HELP WANTED: Volunteers are needed to help at the reception and office at the Forum @Greenwich. No previous experience is necessary and an induction course will be provided.
