The Belvedere school was attacked by vandals in July. Its televisions were smashed, video recorders and cameras and other equipment stolen, doors and windows smashed and the school minibus written off when it was driven into a building. Belvedere Community Forum is one group which has stepped in to help the school. Pupil Kirsty Turner, 13, of Thamesmead, has already done a sponsored swim to raise money and the school has also had other offers of help
