I am absolutely livid about the work that is taking place on the former Kone Lifts Estate, whose entrance is in Wellington Road, Hounslow, by developers Wimpey.
I live directly in front of this estate and I am horrified to discover that three townhouses are in the process of being built.
These monstrosities are about 15-20 feet higher than my property and are sited only six to eight feet from my rear garden fence.
I have lived at this address since it was built, four and a half years ago. I had to pay an additional sum for a west facing garden, to ensure that I would benefit from as much sunlight as possible during the summer months.
Following the erection of these townhouses, the only time I will now see the sun will be late afternoon. Unfortunately, my wife suffers from Alzheimer's disease and one of the few pleasures she has is to sit and enjoy the garden. This has now been put at risk.
I cannot believe that the council has given Wimpey permission to build so close to my property without consulting me. My neighbour was informed by someone from Wimpey. He told her that both our houses were not even shown on his map. I am furious with the council!
