It came as little surprise to read that Hounslow has re-entered the TV Licensing hall of shame, taking 16th place in the South East after over 900 households were discovered watching unlicensed TV sets over the past year.
What is a surprise is that these 900 people could find anything worth watching! The state of our television is becoming increasingly worse.
If it's not dreary soap operas vying for top position in the ratings, then it's those frustrating reality TV shows which continue to grate. There is, occasionally, the odd programme worth watching, but most of what's original or challenging now seems to have gone the way of the dinosaurs.
On a more serious note, however, I do resent paying for my licence when, clearly, there are so many that are not. The sooner they are caught and forced to pay, the better.
