I'm a parent of a child who needs the special lessons available at Grangewood Special School in Eastcote and I would like to say that your report is absolutely true ( 'Parents angry at cuts in special classes' Times, November 29).
My daughter has been doing really well for the past couple of years since she's been getting the extra help. She's become much more confident and most importantly, much happier. Now we learn, or think we learn about cuts to classes. The authorities call it rescheduling but I believe in telling it as I see it and from what I see, rescheduling is cuts by a fancy name.
Now I will have to watch as my daughter loses the confidence the extra help has given her, I have to watch as she slips back. And why? Well, I don't know why. The school was well run, the lessons were excellent, the children were happy and learning. Why did anything need to be rescheduled in the first place?
So please, for the sake of my daughter and all the other children in the school, reschedule it again back to the way it was before.
