REGENERATION projects are being given a huge lift with a multi-million pound investment.
Hayes and West Drayton Partnership has earmarked £4.1 million for new projects out of the government's Single Regeneration Budget allocation of £21 million. These include a £900,000 scheme to improve childcare and a £550,000 enhancement of Hayes Town through environmental and infrastructure improvements.
"We have always been clear that we should aim to maximise the amount we invest in the area by supporting quality projects that make a genuine difference in the community," said programme manager, Angus Johnson.
Other projects include a £900,000 refurbishment and extension of Key House, in Yiewsley, allowing local groups to top quality office facilities, improvement of ICT provision in Hayes and West Drayton primary schools totalling £550,000 and and the creation of a £500,000 Country Park at the Minet Site in Hayes.
