Police have arrested four men in connection with the murder of a man in Merton earlier this month.
Sellathurai Balasingham, a Sri Lankan Tamil, was bludgeoned to death on November 6, on the Mitcham housing estate where he lived.
The latest arrests follow visits by police to 10 addresses in Mitcham last week.
As the Guardian went to press, the men had all been bailed, without charge, to return to the police station in the new year.
DI Reg Field, of the Serious Crime Group, is continuing to appeal for witnesses.
He said: The police will do anything to protect individuals who offer important information.
