Pupils and teachers at Norwood Park Primary School celebrated after discovering they could continue flying a green flag over their school because it had retained its much-coveted Eco-Schools award status.
Their Eco-Schools award was re-established, at a special assembly held on November 5, by Justin Jupp, representative from the Tidy Britain Group, which manages the Eco-Schools scheme in Britain.
The Gypsy Road school was visited in June by Eco-Schools judges who examined the work of pupils and staff to see if they had maintained standards since the award was first given to the school in 1999 and had also made improvements in the school environment.
