A DESPERATE sister is praying for the safe return of her elderly brother after he disappeared whilst out shopping last Tuesday.o
Ismail Shaikh, 63, who has memory problems and is prone to confusion, went missing at noon after leaving his home in Steeplestone Close, Upper Edmonton, to shop at nearby Kendal Parade.
His sister Naz Khan is anxious to know where he is as he is in urgent need of medical treatment after suffering kidney failure.
She said: "I ask anyone who has seen him to contact me.
"My brother will know his name but not his address.
"He is confused and he won't know how to get back."
Mr Shaikh, who is Asian, five foot ten inches tall, balding with some white hair, was last seen buying sweets at Eros mini market in the parade.
He was wearing a red scarf, a green puffer jacket, brown trousers and slippers.
Detective Inspector Lance Spring, from Edmonton police, said: "Mr Shaikh is not violent, he is a confused, elderly gentleman and we would ask anyone who has seen him to contact us straight away."
