A GENEROUS donation to the Woodford Jewish lads and Girls Brigade (JLGB) will give more youngsters the opportunity to attend summer camps next year.
The brigade was given the donation of £1,500 from Lloyds TSB Foundation at a presentation last week at Woodford County High School, Woodford Green.
The money will enable more youngsters to gain experience and confidence through participating in activities such as abseiling, canoeing, mountain biking, cookery, crafts and swimming.
Project co-ordinator Shirley Lane said: "Thanks to the funding from Lloyds TSB Foundation, we will be able to continue to help young Jewish people attend our national camps and improve their social skills, confidence and prospects."
The Lloyds TSB Foundation distributes millions of pounds every year to registered charities all over the UK with the specific aim of giving something back to the local community.
