THE Royal Arsenal site in Woolwich is on target to create 2,000 new jobs according to the London Development Agency.
The 76-acre site will be for mixed use including light industrial units, offices, housing, restaurants, bars, museums and leisure facilities.
Woolwich MP Nick Raynsford, who is Minister for London, said: "The success of this development is vital to the regeneration of Woolwich. Progress has already been made with new jobs created at the Firepower museum."
Originally owned by the Ministry of Defence, the site contained the nation's principal arsenal and armaments factory, employing more then 80,000 people during the First World War.
