THE police may put the spate of fatalities in Lea Bridge Road down to driver error (Guardian, last week) and call it a comparatively safe road, but anyone who has tried to cross the road when visiting the Lee Valley Ice Rink will know it's only a question of time before there is another accident.
I assist in running a club that regularly takes children there and it is no joke trying to get across the road. The only help is a traffic island but with a large number of children this is useless. Surely there should be some kind of crossing outside the ice rink.
