IN response to a letter the council reviewed its public toilets service in January 2001. An action plan to improve toilets over the next five years has been agreed.
The review highlighted that Leyton was the only town centre in the borough without adequate toilet provision. Consequently, it is the priority location for improvements.
In the short term, shoppers can use a public toilet located a short walk away in Market Parade, Leyton Green. It has an attendant and is open from 8am to 7.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
A new-style automatic superloo is located in Lyttleton Road, near Coronation Gardens. It is open 24 hours and is operated either by a RADAR key or 10p. It has dis- abled access, baby changing facilities, and
spoken and Braille instructions.
