Experts were more than satisfied with the facilities at Greenwich's second toy library.
And the site will also be convenient for the children, as it is based at their Morden Mount Primary School, in Lewisham Road.
The £50,000 project is funded by Greenwich Council's Single Regeneration Budget. It will be open to all children, parents and carers.
Councillor Bob Harris, Executive Member for Regeneration, said: "I am delighted this much-needed resource has taken off."
It costs £2 per year for adults to join. Toys can be borrowed for up to two weeks, for between 20p and 50p. The project will operate every Monday from 10am to 11am and Thursday from 3pm to 4pm.
