GOOD team running by Orion Juniors at Stubbers leisure centre rewarded the club with a pair of podium finishes, with the under-15 girls winning a second place and the U13 boys coming third.
The U13 girls, unable to make up a team, still ran well with Keeley Jeffery finishing seventh, Jo Kennedy 17th and Alex Farrier 24th.
The U13 boys had to deal with a waterlogged course and managed to finish third, but they still hold on to their second position in the league, with Ryan Lamey coming ninth, Adam Robertson 10th, Matthew Foderingham 11th, Tony Swain 19th and Michael Hearty 20th.
The U15 girls were led home by Catherine Conway, who powered through the mud to finish third. She was followed by Jo Hadaway (19th), Louise Shaw (23rd) and Lauren Richardson (21st), with the team coming third. They are now third in the league.
The U15 boys was contested by Richard Gunner (12th), Nelson Metharan (19th) and Jo Lustig (20th), with the team taking fifth place.
In the senior womens 6.4km race, Jane Farrier came a very good third in the veterans race and, for the first time, the seniors competed with a full team of six.
James Young came in fourth as a junior but 26th in the seniors with Ricky Goad (39th), Gerry Shaw (42nd), Jim Dawson (44th), Peter Deadman (62nd) and Mike Rosbrook (71st), completing the finshers.
