SOME impressive play from the students of Chigwell School led them to victory in the boys year-10 and under east regional finals of the HSBC British Schools Tennis Team Competitions 2001.
The team will now go forward to represent the East in the finals of this prestigious championship.
The contest attracts more than 4,600 teams from schools around Britain to the girls and boys year-8 and under and year-10 and under events.
The National Finals will take place at the Redbridge Indoor Centre in Essex on December 9 and 10, where teams will be cheered on by Britain's number one tennis player Tim Henman.
The results from singles and doubles matches saw the boys year-10 and under team beat Berkhamstead Collegiate 4-2.
The Chigwell boys year-10 were Jak Pugh, William Taylor, Karim Khimji and Tom Foster.
