When a grand was up for grabs, radio listener Maria Currie proved she was a roaring success.
The Wallington mum, spurred on by Kiss FM drive-time's top cash prize, called the station's grrrowl for a grrrand competition.
The aim was to growl a recognisable tune and the 29 year old managed it with So Solid Crew's most recent hit 21 Seconds.
Now Maria, who lives in Acre Lane, is set to make her seven-year old son Ben a very happy boy.
"I was about to apply for a bank loan, but now there's no need," she said. "I'll use the rest of the money to treat Ben to a lovely Christmas."
