A new one-stop website to help Kingston residents report graffiti, abandoned cars or other environmental concerns has been launched by the Liberal Democrats.
The site was designed by Councillor Mary Reid, who has tried to make the site as accessible as possible for everyone, from the computer whiz to technological dunces.
By simply filling in an online form at www.kingstonlibdems.org, residents can report the location of graffiti and the surface where it is painted.
They can also highlight whether it is racist or personally offensive so council officers can prioritise removing it.
Similarly, residents can submit details on abandoned cars so council officers can begin the sometimes lengthy process of getting the vehicle removed.
Launching the new site, Liberal Democrat leader Councillor Roger Hayes said: This is a great new website. Everyone in the local community should find something of use to them, whether it be an easy way to report graffiti or abandoned cars, being able to support our campaign to restore the K4 bus link to the hospital or a much easier way to contact their local councillor.
Never ones to be outdone, work on a similar Conservative website is well underway and should be launched as www.rbkconservatives.org before the new year.
