Two Kingston University drama students will be performing in the National Youth Music Theatre Company production of The Dreaming at the Royal Opera House this winter.
Ben Barnes, 20, and Sarah Brown, 20, are first year students on the new drama degree course and will perform in front of thousands from Tuesday, December 18, to Saturday, December 29. The Dreaming is an adaptation of Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream and was especially commissioned for the NYMT.
Ben said: It was exciting being part of an original production and working with the writer and composer to bring it to the stage.
Sarah is something of an old hand with the NYMT, having first appeared at the age of 11 in The Ragged Child.
She said: I feel as though I have grown up with the NYMT but it will be
particularly exciting to play at Covent Garden.
