Environmentalists from Kingston took part in a nation-wide day of protest against petrol giant Esso, last week.
Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth (FOE), People and Planet and other ecologists leafleted drivers at petrol stations around the borough on December 1.
During Stop Esso day hundreds of Esso garages around the country were targeted by the protesters concerned about global warming.
Kingston FOE campaigner Penny Baker, who spent the day outside Tolworths Esso station, said: Action is needed now to stop global warming. Esso must stop opposing urgent global agreement to tackle this.
Esso thinks its too big for the rest of us to stop it wrecking the planet. Its wrong.
