Money to help 29 Kingston school teachers buy a home in the borough is now up for grabs thanks to a local housing association.
The Key Homebuy scheme will run over the next two years and will allow teachers, who often have difficulty affording to live in the borough, to buy a home.
The scheme is specifically aimed at those with qualified teacher status who have a permanent contract with a Kingston school.
To ensure those who need homes most are the ones who get them first, the money is also earmarked for first time buyers who cannot afford to buy a home without the help of a Government grant.
Applications must be received by Tower Homes by Monday, December 31, and will be assessed during the week commencing January 7.
A further round of interviews and advice sessions will then take place until offers of places and money are made in February.
