Andrew Pelling, Conservative GLA member for Croydon and Sutton, launched the start of the Greater London Assembly's investigation into the growing problem of graffiti in the capital on Monday.
Mr Pelling, who will chair the Graffiti Investigation Committee, said: "Londoners are sick and tired of finding graffiti, often abusive, in their urban environment. This blight also costs businesses and councils millions of pounds every year, and the knock on effect of that is higher prices and council taxes for Londoners. Enough is enough. These vandals must not be allowed to get away with this any longer."
