Younger members of Dartford Harriers Athletics Club had some good results in the Kent League Cross Country held in Danson Park.
For the under-15s, the were two oustanding efforts, with Stephen Munn finishing a very fine second, and Michael Valentine close behind in third.
In the undfer-17 race, Tom Campey came fifth, while Terry Hawkey took a good third-place in the under-20s event.
Remaining results were: under-13: Paul Constable 14th; Robert Bradbury 15th; Nicholas Bolton 20th; Jack Tomlin 28th; Under-15: David Heeley 5th; Richard Harris 25th and Lewis Nichols 31st.
However, the senior mens' team lacked some of its usual runners due to work commitments. However, Steve Wilson was an excellent 25th in a very strong field.
Other finishers for Dartford Harriers were: Tim Orr 60th; Vic Withey 106th; Richard 111th; Paul Hills 113th; Mark Powell 132nd; B. Coombes 134th and Olu Adekanye 162nd.
Meanwhile, in the Thanet 10-mile road-race, Steve Game was an impressive second in 56 mins 48secs while in the Portsmouth five-mile road-race, Andrea Green was also an excellent second in 26:38.
