Bexley Swimming Club have done it!
Promotion to the Speedo Premier League was secured last week with a dramatic six-point victory over Kingston SC to win the Division One title.
The club's swimmers won 19 of the 50 events, as well as finishing second in 10 others.
Honours for first places in the relays went to: 11-years girl's freestyle; 11-years boy's freestyle and medley; and 13-years boy's medley.
Individual winners were: Jack Legon, Jade Barclay, Chris Scott, Rachel Heselden and Katy Howes, who all won two events, as well as Chloe Ross, Jo Scott, Josh Lawless and Robert Sinead.
Second places in the relays went to the girl's 13-years freestyle and medley squads, plus the men's open freestyle team, as well as Chloe Ross, Kelly McCue, Jodie Cousins, Rachel Heselden, Robert Saunders and Richard James.
Chris Scott, who is 15, also swam in the men's open 100-metre individual medley and recorded a personal best of 1min 5.31secs which, subject to ratification, will be a new Kent county record, to bring this response from head coach Tony Ross. He said: "Our swimmers and coaching staff have achieved much this year and will be working even harder to ensure the club is able to compete at the highest level.
"However, without the support of Leisure Link and staff at our home pool Lamorbey in Sidcup many of the achievements would not have been possible."
