GURU Nanak finally won their first Kent County Division Three West match of the season, with a superb display against top of the table Samuel Montagu.

The Gurus have struggled to find form all season but now under newly-appointed manager Hardip Gill, there has been improvement.

In a game where the Gurus dominated, chances were still very few in a goal-less first half in which Jess Gill squandered a great opportunity to put his side ahead.

In the second half, the Gurus continued to dominate and they finally made their pressure tell when Jag Tirwana thumped in a great goal after a superb run and cross from man of the match Jug Sian.

Hardev Dale header from Gill's corner clinched a 2-0 win to extened their unbeaten run to three games.

Guru Nanak Sunday, of the North Kent Sunday Premier League, had a great away win against Metropolitan League side Charlton Rangers in the third round of the Kent Cup.

After going behind, Jag Tirwana produced a great finish after chipping the ball over a defender and then volleying the equaliser.

Happy Mudahar scored a great solo goal just before half-time to put the Gurus 2-1 up and a superb defensive second-half saw them home.

The Saturday Reserves, of the Gravesend League Division One, drew 2-2 with the Old Prince of

Orange to maintain their unbeaten run in the league.

The reserves are now also under new management, in the form of Manjit Helaith.

Scottie Bhens opened the scoring before Gurus were reduced to ten men and Orange soon equalised.

Bhens then hit a wonder goal to put resore the Gurus' lead, but with a few minutes remaining Orange netted a controversial equaliser.
