A THEATRE company will be visiting a Northfleet school to drive home the importance of road safety.
Kent County Council's (KCC) Road Safety Team has arranged for the Ape Theatre Company to perform a play at Northfleet School for Girls, in Hall Road.
Legal Weapon is a fictional story of a sixth-form couple, Andy and Jazz, who are caught speeding and are involved in a road traffic accident.
KCC hopes the play will make students, who are shortly to become new drivers, more aware of road safety.
The initiative is part of KCC's Childlife project to reduce child road casualties.
KCC's cabinet member for strategic planning Sarah Hohler said: "This play is highly emotive and a really good way of making young people aware of road safety issues particularly the use of speed when driving."
