shaoLin monk Shi DeLon, will be giving a free seminar and talk about Chinese KungFu and ShaoLin longevity on Saturday at the Walnuts Sports Centre, in Orpington.
Shi is a 31st generation ShaoLin monk (layman) and 12th generation successor of Chan TaiChi.
Much has been said about Chinese KungFu and many people must have seen the dynamic ShaoLin WuKung performances.
It has taken Shi (above) 18 years of hard training and dedication to earn the trust of the SongShan ShaoLin Temple, in Hennan province, before he could bring any monk out of China to London.
Shi said: "I am sure those who have seen ShaoLin monks' acrobatic showmanship would have marvelled at their high standards.
"How many of you could put your leg over your head or leap into the air before crashing down on a concrete floor without breaking a bone?
"This type of training takes a very long, long time to perfect. Have you the time and patience to do likewise? Can you really take the pain?
"Successes are virtually only a dream to many outsiders, especially those who start later in life.
"Those leaping, rolling and falling skills are termed as ShaoLin WiaKung external training. They are designed to start early for younger and more supple bodies.
"But let's face it, those who read about longevity will be more mature. The older we get, the more our
concerns about health become.
"I think the most disappointing fact is loss of pride and the will- power to improve our ageing selves again.
"Well, don't give up hope. The vast ocean of ShaoLin knowledge offers many other alternative ways to
regain your vitality, so come along and see how I can help you."
