CHILDREN from Chernobyl were given free eye tests and spectacles by a Southgate optician.
Staff at Ronald Brown opticians in Southgate welcomed children from the Ukrainian town which was hit by a nuclear disaster in 1986 when they visited the shop as guests of Southgate Round Table.
Dispensing optician Nikki Hiller said: "It's rewarding to give something back to children from a different country and give them the chance to rejuvenate their health."
