MORE than £31,000 worth of DVDs were stolen from the Blockbuster shop in Staple Tye shopping centre at about 3.30am last Wednesday.
An anonymous caller rang police from the phone box outside the library in Parnell Road saying that three youths were breaking into the shop. But when police arrived the thieves had left.
The DVDs were in lightweight covers rather than their proper packaging and have titles beginning with the letters A to O, and may have Blockbuster labels and barcodes on them.
Anyone with any information should ring Harlow police station on 01279 641212 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
