At this time of the year as we approach Christmas, we are looking forward to the festivities, parties and presents, but please spare a thought for a haven in the midst of our borough called the North London Hospice.
Here you will find a dedicated collection of young ladies called nurses, I think they should be called 'angels', for the love and care they provide to anyone who has a terminal illness.
Sometimes there are people who come in who have no family or friends, but in the hospice it is not unusual to see these 'angels' giving a friendly hug or cuddle and saying soothing words of comfort.
So when you are writing your Christmas cards, could you spare one for the doctors, nurses and volunteers as a big thank you for the wonderful work they do, and if you can spare a donation, it will be greatly appreciated.
