THE Isleworth plane spotter detained in Greece looks set to spend Christmas in prison now that the public prosecuter has demanded that he be charged with spying.
Antoni Adamiak, one of 12 Britons held in the country since November 8, will now be made to stand trial after claims that there is proof of 'psychological support', even though there is little physical evidence.
Greek officials have said that members of the group were warned three times that photography was not allowed in military areas and that their activities were suspicious.
The recommendations show that appeals for a speedy end to the case have fallen on deaf ears. The Greek government is unable to interfere.
Ioannis Zacharias, the lawyer acting on behalf of the group, said: "The prosecutor insists that they have all spied and must be held. It is certain they are going for trial."
