OLD east met new west last week as pupils from Lampton School joined paying guests to celebrate A Night in Asia with dancing, music and a sell-out fashion show.
More than 150 visitors packed the Lampton Avenue school's hall last Friday, December 7, for one of the biggest dates in its calendar, paying tribute to its pupils' Asian roots with a cultural clash of old versus new.
Students lit up their school with the bright colours of saris, drums and daring dance moves as traditional Asian dance, music and fashion combined with fusion music, modern dance performances and comedy sketches.
Organised entirely by the school's pupils, the evening has been heralded as a massive success.
