ANGRY trader Josh Hayles has created a new website www.councilsgonemad.com to protest about his and colleagues' businesses losing custom.
Shopkeepers are pleading with Hillingdon Council to take down railings it erected opposite Kingshill Avenue in Hayes End which they say stops shoppers parking.
Traders' campaign leader, Chris McGovern, owner of Petmania, said: "The council has put up this fencing taking away shoppers' parking space and we should lose about a quarter of the trade we originally had as a result."
The council erected the fence near the kerb in a bid to protect paving stones which were being damaged by vehicles making deliveries. It also introduced 'herring-bone' car parking spaces but traders objected to the loss of parking space.
Charville ward councillor, Michael Craxton, said Hillingdon Council's engineering manager, Denis Chamberlin, would be meeting with councillors and traders to discuss the plans next week.
