A PROPOSAL to allow a school to erect a new building is expected to be given the go-ahead by councillors on December 18.
St Bernadettes Primary School in Long Lane, Hillingdon, is seeking permission for a new two-storey building which would include a Parish Centre for St Bernadettes Church, two classrooms and an entrance area for the school.
The new building would be attached to the main school building and situated between the school and the church.
Objectors complain that congestion would be caused by further traffic, that there would be inadequate provision of on site car parking spaces and the additional Parish Hall would cause additional noise, disturbance and litter.
However, the Planning Officer's report has stated that there would be six new car parking spaces and 12 secure bicycle spaces and that the Parish Hall 'would be used exclusively for Parish-centred activities and not as a regular social centre or club'.
