ELDERLY residents at Stillwell House are on the move, but just across the road to their revamped residence.
The new Michael Shersby House in Barncroft Close, Hillingdon, a former social services care home, has been redeveloped with 26 one-bedroom sheltered flats.
The development boasts a scheme manager on site, as well as CCTV and a video entry system.
Residents can now also be spoilt with a communal lounge and garden, activities room, hairdressing and medical room and a special bathroom for assisted bathing.
Stillwell House will be converted into 13 new sheltered bungalows for older people, due for completion by summer 2002.
