Thank you for the coverage you gave to Eltham Hill Technology College for Girls over the past few weeks.
I am sure your readers will see how committed we are to raising the achievement of our current and future girls and have no intention of becoming elitist.
I must correct one point. The decision of the governors not to pursue Foundation Status was not unanimous but by a majority.
I think this reflects our continuing concerns but the reconciliation process with Greenwich Council has begun and, I am sure, will be to our mutual benefit.
I wish to thank Councillors Hills and Poston for their support in your letters page but must remind them that so many of the problems we faced in Eltham Hill date back to the under funding at the time of the Conservative government.
Our principal, Mrs Findlay-Stone, complained about the college being used as a political football. We have no intention of being the Conservative's football either.
