I write on the loss of my father, which may be due to the NHS at Ealing and West Middlesex hospitals. On April 6, my father was suffering severely. I called NHS Direct and a nurse felt he may have had a minor stroke. I took him to the Harmony Centre, at Ealing. He was seen by a doctor, who thought he had a urine infection. She prescribed antibiotics and sent him home.
On April 9, he still felt poorly. A GP stated he'd had a stroke. We went to West Mid, arriving at 11.30am. At about 5.15pm, the doctors said he'd had a minor stroke. He was admitted but suffered a very severe stroke.
My father died on April 12. I have no faith in the NHS.
