Great staff
Every week there are letters complaining about Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup. Let's put the record straight. I have cancer of the lymph glands. I have been attending the chemo unit since February this year and I can't praise the staff or doctors enough. They have put up with my depression, helped me cope when my veins are non-existent and ways have to be found to put needles in them for chemo treatment. They know I also look after my mother who is disabled and there have been times when I've had to cancel appointments. I can't speak highly enough of this unit and my thanks go to each member of staff from consultants to care assistants.

Many thanks
Grateful thanks to the young man who came to our rescue after we damaged the front wheel of our car, in Townley Road near the roundabout at about 5.15pm, on November 30. He replaced the damaged wheel in record time. I hardly had time to thank him for his kindness. He just wished us and our passengers all the best and walked away. We and our passengers are all in our 70s. Also a thank you to the folk who live across the way from where we broke down. Many thanks.

A good man
How refreshing it is to hear a Conservative speaking out in favour of Graham Hall, a man who has for many years devoted himself to the people of Sidcup. I am a Conservative and absolutely appalled at the treatment given to this gentleman. I am now of the opinion all our MPs, regardless of party, need to get their acts together and grow up.

Turning point
Is it possible to find out why there is no right hand turn at Welling corner out of Upper Wickham Lane? If it was no left hand turn I'd understand but no right hand turn just causes more congestion down the high street. Many people have asked the same question and none of us know why please help!
