HEHC 1st v Broxbourne (Dec 9)
EHA Cup (Score 5-1)
After a convincing win in the last round of the EHA Cup, Hounslow and Ealings 1st team were looking to progress through to the next round when they met Broxbourne at home on Sunday.
With a full squad to choose from, the home side looked the more dominating from the start and created a number of chances.
Carla Dunnett, Anne Green and Anita Huntley shared the spoils in a 5-1 victory to take H&E through to the last 16.
HEHC 2nd v Poly (Dec 8)
(Score 3-0)
Going into the last match before the Christmas break, Hounslow and Ealing's 2nd team found themselves two points behind league leaders Southgate in the Middlesex Premier Division and desperately needed a win against Poly on Saturday to stay in contention at the top of the table.
However, it was Poly who made all the running at the start, forcing the home side on the back foot and they proved to be very dangerous on the break.
A goal by Triona Doyle put H&E ahead, a lead which they took into half time.
After an inspired teamtalk, H&E came out for the second half more determined and a further two goals by Megan Williams and Doyle sealed victory for the home side.
Elsewhere, a goalless draw between Southgate and Harrow means that Hounslow and Ealing reclaim top-spot in the Premier League, midway through the season.
